* TCU is 5-0 for the fifth time in the last 15 seasons under head coach Gary Patterson.
* TCU's win moved Patterson 100 games over .500 (154-54) in his 17-season Horned Frogs' tenure.
* TCU is now 18-0 when playing as an AP top-10 team at home under Patterson.
* The Horned Frogs are 3-0 this season against teams it lost to last year.
* TCU is now 6-0 over the last nine seasons and all-time when ESPN's College GameDay is present at its game.
* TCU's 34-10 overall record over the last four seasons is tied for the best mark in the Big 12. Its 21-8 record in conference play is second.

Individual Notes
* Kenny Hill became the fourth player in Big 12 history, and the second in a conference game, to rush for a touchdown, throw for a score and catch a TD pass. He is the first player to accomplish the feat since 2008.
* Hill had the first touchdown catch by a TCU quarterback since Trevone Boykin versus Iowa State in 2014.
* Hill had his first career reception with his 48-yard scoring catch from wide receiver KaVontae Turpin.
* Turpin had his second career completion. He had an 18-yard pass as a true freshman in 2015.
* Jalen Reagor's 45-yard third-quarter scoring reception was a career-long grab.
* Sewo Olonilua's 2-yard scoring run on the second play of the second quarter was his fourth rushing touchdown of the season, second on the team to Darius Anderson (six).
* Kyle Hicks returned to action after missing the previous game at Oklahoma State and had a team-best 71 yards rushing on 11 carries.
* John Diarse had a 19-yard reception to extend his team-best streak to 19 consecutive games with a catch. It includes his final contest at LSU in 2015.
* Diarse finished with team-highs of four receptions for 70 yards.
* Ben Banogu had his team-best fourth sack of the season. He has a sack in four of TCU's five games.
* Banogu's tackle for loss gives him at least one stop behind the line of scrimmage in each game this season.
* Ranthony Texada had his second sack of the season and fifth of his career. The five sacks rank fourth among current Horned Frogs.
* Travin Howard recorded 12 total tackles, the most by any Horned Frog this season. It was his 12th career game in double digits in stops.
* Nick Orr had his team-best second interception of the season and eighth of his career, most among active Horned Frogs.
* Arico Evans had a career-high six tackles.
* Adam Nunez had four of his seven punts downed at or inside the West Virginia 6-yard line.
* Jonathan Song had a career-long 37-yard field goal on his first career attempt at home. He is now 4-of-4 on the season.
* Offensive tackle Lucas Niang and safety Innis Gaines made their first career starts.
