Team Notes
* TCU is 7-0 for the fifth time in the last 15 seasons under head coach Gary Patterson.
* The Horned Frogs improved to 19-0 when playing as an AP top-10 team at home under Patterson.
* TCU improved to 26-2 when taking the field as an AP top-5 team under Patterson. Since 2000, it's the best record nationally for any program when ranked in the top 5.
* TCU is 42-4 as a top-10 team under Patterson.
* With 12:49 to play and severe weather about to hit the area, both teams agreed to play the remainder of the game with a running clock. 12:49 was also left in the game the previous week when TCU had its final weather delay at Kansas State.
* TCU's 36-10 record over the last four seasons is tied for the best mark in the Big 12, while its 23-8 conference mark is second.
* The Horned Frogs recorded their 13th shutout in 17 seasons under Patterson. It was TCU's second blanking this season. TCU last had two shutouts in a season in 2010 (vs. Colorado State and Wyoming).
* The Horned Frogs have not allowed a touchdown in their last two games.
* TCU is now 106-3 under Patterson when allowing 17 points or less.
* TCU held Kansas to 21 yards of total offense, the fewest allowed by an FBS defense this season and the fewest against an FBS opponent since at least 1996.
* The 21 yards of total offense set a Big 12 record, previously held by Oklahoma (vs. Idaho State; Sept. 12, 2009) and Kansas State (vs. Kansas; Oct. 31, 1998).
* The previous low total in yards allowed under Patterson was 60 to Northern Illinois in the 2006 Poinsettia Bowl.
* TCU held Kansas to minus-25 rushing yards, the seventh-fewest all-time in school history. It was also the fewest since the record of minus-53 against Tulane Nov. 9, 2002.
* The minus-25 rushing yards were the third-fewest allowed in the FBS this season.
* The Horned Frogs held a halftime lead (24-0) for the seventh consecutive game this season and are now 126-14 when leading at the half under Patterson.
* A 6-yard Kenny Hill pass to Desmon White gave TCU an opening-drive touchdown for the fourth time in seven games this season. When including a field goal, the Horned Frogs have scored on five of their opening series in 2017.
* Hill's 6-yard scoring pass to White gave TCU a first-quarter touchdown for the 38th time in its last 46 games.
* The Horned Frogs had four sacks to give them at least one in 48 of their last 50 games.
* TCU scored for the 313th consecutive game. It's the nation's second-longest current streak and fourth all-time in NCAA history. The Horned Frogs haven't been blanked since Nov. 16, 1991, at Texas (32-0).
* TCU's win moved Patterson 102 games over .500 (156-54) in his 17-season Horned Frogs' tenure.
* Since beginning Big 12 play in 2012, TCU is now 6-0 versus Kansas.
* TCU's team captains were Ben Banogu, John Diarse, Kenny Hill and Travin Howard.
* TCU wore a black jersey with purple pants and a purple matte helmet. TCU also wore that combination against Jackson State, the Frogs' other shutout this season.
Individual Notes
* Kenny Hill's five touchdown passes equaled a career-high (vs. Oklahoma, 2016) and tied for second-most in a game in TCU history. He was 19-of-26 for 278 yards and no interceptions.
* KaVontae Turpin's 90-yard punt return for a touchdown gave him three in his career, tying Linzy Cole (1968-69) and Blanard Spearman (1930-32) for the most in TCU history.
* Turpin's 90-yard punt return tied Jim Shofner (vs. Ohio State, 1957) for the second-longest in TCU history. The record is 93 yards by Cy Leland (vs. Baylor, 1929).
* Turpin had his second punt return for a touchdown against Kansas. He scored on a 49-yard return in 2015.

* The 67-yard touchdown grab by Diarse was TCU's second-longest play of the season, trailing only a 71-yard scoring strike from Hill to Kenedy Snell against SMU.
* Desmon White's 6-yard first-quarter touchdown catch from Hill gave him a reception in 17 consecutive games, the second-longest active streak (Diarse, 21) for the Horned Frogs.
* White had his third scoring grab of the season and fifth of his career.
* True freshman Jalen Reagor had touchdown catches of 22 and 15 yards to give him a team-best four scoring grabs on the season. He has at least one reception in each game.

* Chris Bradley tied Howard for team-best honors with five tackles while recording two stops for a loss.
