Last Time Out
TCU made a consistent effort to attack the basket in an 83-68 win over Kansas at Schollmaier Arena on Sunday night.
TCU, known for its 3-point shooting, attempted just 13 shots from beyond the arc on the night, but it didn't make a difference. The Frogs were aggressive and shot a season-high 36 free throws in a game that featured 66 combined free throws.
In addition to attacking the basket on offense, TCU protected it on defense with eight blocks as Kansas shot just 34.4 percent, TCU's best defensive effort in Big 12 play this season. AJ Alix led TCU with 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting and also added four assists. Jordan Moore added 13 points, career-high 16 rebounds and four blocks to anchor TCU's inside presence.
Scouting Texas
Texas has won 12 straight games, including an undefeated start to Big 12 play, joining Baylor as the only unbeaten teams in the league.
The Longhorns are second in the Big 12 in scoring defense, allowing just 58.2 points per game. Texas is also second in the conference, and fourth in the NCAA, with a +12.2 rebounding margin.

TCU's last win came in 2014-15 in Raegan Pebley's first game against the Longhorns. Since then Texas has won five straight games, including earlier this season.
Both of TCU's wins have come in Fort Worth where the Frogs are 2-16 against the Longhorns.
Five Points
1) Jordan Moore's 16 rebounds against Kansas were a career high. The 16 rebounds are also tied for the most by any player in a Big 12 game this season. In addition, Moore is the first Frog with 16 rebounds since Latricia Lovings did so against Kansas State in January 2013. Moore added 13 points and now has three double-doubles this season.
2) AJ Alix led TCU with 22 points against Kansas. It was Alix's fourth game this season with 20-plus points and the eighth of her career. In addition, she hit two 3-pointers to bring her career total to 130, tying for the ninth most in TCU history.
3) TCU has shot over 75.0 percent from the free throw line in each of its last five games. Overall on the season, TCU is shooting 71.3 percent as a team, ranking second in the Big 12. In conference play, the Frogs percentage is even higher at 76.6 percent.
4) Despite hitting just 4-of-13 3-pointers against Kansas, the fewest makes and second fewest attempts of the season, TCU is still shooting 38.8 percent from deep as a team. That mark ranks second in the Big 12 and 14th in the NCAA.
5) After Wednesday's game, the Frogs will have played half of their Big 12 games this season. Entering Wednesday, TCU is just one game out of fifth place in the Big 12 standings. Six Big 12 teams advance to the NCAA Tournament last season.
