TCU Announces Scholar-Athletes of the Month

Carraway, a native of Flower Mound, Texas, was a staple for the Horned Frogs defense this season. On the year, Carraway sacked the quarterback for a team-high eight times. His presence on the field and eight sacks resulted in a total loss of 53 yards for opposing quarterbacks. Carraway also logged 49 total tackles throughout his final season in Purple and White.
Carraway received his degree in May and was a graduate student this year. He will attend the upcoming 2017 NFL Scouting Combine.
Gower, a native of St. Louis, Mo., had a senior season for the books in 2016. She became the fifth All-American in program history after earning Honorable Mention All-America honors after an incredible year. Gower led TCU all season long offensively and defensively as she put down 1.94 kills per set with a team-best .359 hitting clip. Gower totaled 139 blocks this season for 1.29 blocks per set which ranks fifth and third, respectively, in the TCU single season record book.
Gower received her degree in December.
