FORT WORTH, Texas – The TCU men's tennis team will continue fall action by taking part in the first national championship during the fall, the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championships, in Tulsa, Okla., from Oct. 1-10.
The Horned Frogs will have four players taking part in the championship with Scott Martinson, Reese Stalder and Gianni Mancini competing in the pre-qualifying singles draw. Trevor Johnson will also be in action in the qualifying singles draw and will pair up with Stalder to take part in the qualifying doubles draw.
Last weekend, Jerry Lopez was the only player competing as he took part in the Battle in the Bay where he advanced to the quarterfinals in the singles draw. Lopez defeated opponents from Boise State and USC before falling to a San Diego State foe in the quarterfinals.
The last time the No. 41 doubles pair of Johnson and Stalder were in action, they won the Woodbridge/Woodforde doubles draw at the Hall of Fame ITA Grass Court Invitational. The duo posted two straight wins over opponents from Michigan and Virginia.
