
Cross Country Climbs Into Rankings

FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU women's cross country team has been ranked No. 14 in the most recent South Central Regional Rankings released Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The Horned Frogs are coming off a productive weekend at the Ken Garland Invitational, where the team placed second overall. Saturday's effort marked the best overall women's team finish at the meet since the 2012 season.
Sophomore Anna Cozart paced the squad in the 5,000-meter run with an eighth-place time of 18:29.8. Freshman Lindsay Tomaini showed great command as she followed closely in 11th with a time of 18:56.6, and sophomore Kirsten Johnston clocked in next at 18:56.6 for a 12th-place finish.
Up next, TCU will head to College Station, Texas, on Saturday, Sept. 24 for the Texas A&M Invite.
