LONDON, Ontario -- Former TCU men's golfer Paul Barjon capped his Mackenzie Tour -- PGA TOUR Canada season with a record-breaking win at the Freedom 55 Financial Championship on Sunday.
A day after posting a career-low, 9-under 61 at Highland Country Club, Barjon carded a 2-under 68 to finish at 22-under 258 for the tournament, a Mackenzie Tour 72-hole record.
With the win Barjon grabbed a $36,000 prize and jumped from 30th to sixth in the final Order of Merit, advancing him to the final stage of the Web.com Tour Qualifying Tournament.
The victory gives Barjon three top-10 finishes this summer after turning pro in June.
