FORT WORTH - The TCU baseball team began preparations for the 2017 season Tuesday afternoon when they opened their fall practice schedule. The team will participate in 28 practice sessions over the next 45 days.
TCU is coming off a third straight trip to the College World Series and a No. 3 ranking in the final polls. The bulk of the 2016 team returns for another run as the Horned Frogs welcome back 22 letterwinners from a team that finished 49-18. Head coach Jim Schlossnagle and staff also welcomed 12 newcomers to the team.
Over the course of fall practice, the Frogs will play in numerous intrasquad games that will be free and open to the public. All regular practice sessions will be closed to the general public but open to professional scouts. Practices are set to begin at 2:30 p.m. during the week while weekend practices are TBA and will be announced as they are scheduled via twitter (@TCU_Baseball).
