
4x100 Places Sixth at NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. — TCU's 4x100-meter relay concluded the Horned Frogs' 2016 outdoor season with a sixth-place finish in the finals at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore. on Friday.
The quartet of junior Raymond Bozmans, senior Sam Watts, freshman Darrion Flowers and senior Ronnie Baker combined for a season-best effort, clocking in at 38.72. The team earned three points for TCU, while also garnering First-Team All-America honors.
In the men's discus, junior Adam Damadzic notched Second-Team All-America honors with a 14th-place finish at 181 feet (55.18 meters).
Sophomore Scotty Newton placed 20th in the men's triple jump after recording a mark of 49 feet 10 inches (15.19 meters) on his first attempt.
A select few athletes will return to Eugene, Ore. next month for Olympic Trials on June 1-10.
