EUGENE, Oregon – TCU senior men's golfer Paul Barjon was named to the Division I PING All-Region team on Sunday, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Barjon's award gives the Horned Frogs at least one PING All-Region member in each of the last nine seasons, dating back to 2008-09.
The New Caledonia native entered today in a tie for sixth place at the NCAA Championships where he is 1-under par through two rounds.
Barjon entered the tournament with a 71.95 stroke average this season, the best on the TCU roster. He has posted 10 rounds in the 60s this season and 27 in his career. He has won two tournaments this season, The Connecticut Cup and the Middlesburg Bank Intercollegiate.
After finishing third at last week's NCAA Albuquerque Regional, Barjon entered the NCAA Championships with a streak of three straight top-5 finishes and six straight top-20 finishes.
In addition to the all-region honors, Barjon has also once been named the Big 12 Golfer of the Month this season and was also a Big 12 All-Academic Team member.
