TCU Wraps Up Day One Of Big 12

Against a highly competitive hammer throw field, the London, England native recorded a distance of 206 feet 9 inches (63.02m) on his fifth attempt. McGuigan's mark would hold on for a third-place finish in the event as he racked up his first ever Big 12 medal.
The TCU men's and women's track and field teams will resume action at 4 p.m. on Saturday with the women's shot put. Preliminary running events are slated to begin at 5:30 p.m. and will last until 9 p.m.
