Howard, a native of St. Louis, Mo., threw for seven shutout innings as the Horned Frogs opened up the series against Penn State with a 6-2 victory. The junior limited the Nittany Lions to just four base runners throughout the game and striking out four. Howard is 6-2 on the year.
The TCU baseball team will return to action Friday night at Baylor. TCU, ranked as high as eighth in the country, boasts a 33-12 record heading into this weekend's series in Waco.
Graebe led the Horned Frog effort at the NCAA Regional tournament over the weekend. The Yorba Linda, Calif. native finished strong, carding a birdie on hole 18 as she notched a top-25 finish in Bryan, Texas. Graebe opened with back-to-back 72s in the first two rounds.
