Her previous record of 13.24 was also set at Mike A. Myers Stadium. Throughout the indoor season, McGhee went on to bring her personal best and school record 60-meter hurdles time down to 8.14. Overall, McGhee improved on the previous school record by .16 seconds.
Freshman Fellan McGuigan broke the school record in the hammer throw after throwing for a first-place mark of 205-7 (62.66m) at the Romo Ricardo Invitational. Her effort took down Stevanie Wadsorth-Ferguson's program record of 56-4.75, set in 1993. Smith's mark is also the farthest ever recorded at the Lowdon Complex in Fort Worth.
Baker's NCAA Championship time of 6.47 broke his own school 60 meters record of 6.51, which was set at the Big 12 Championships two weeks prior to take home gold. Before the season started, the previous record of 6.52 was set by Baker at last year's NCAA Championships. Baker currently leads the NCAA in the 100 meters with a time of 9.95.
