TCU Muscle Milk Athletes of the Week

FORT WORTH -- Elliott Barzilli of baseball and Jaelyn Greene and Jillian Bergeson of beach volleyball have been named TCU's Muscle Milk Athletes of the Week based on impressive performances.
Barzilli, a native of Los Angeles, Calif., had a productive first week of March. Barzilli leads the Big 12 with a .500 batting average and has reached on base in all 12 games this season. Through four games last week, Barzilli drove in seven runs on three extra-base hits.
Barzilli and the Horned Frogs' next matchup will be Friday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m. as they open a three-game series against USC.
Greene and Bergeson remained undefeated this season after picking up a point against No. 9 Arizona last week. The duo was able to defeat Adlee Winaen and Dora Beilin in the opening set, 21-18, before the Arizona pair came back to take a tight 24-22 second set. Greene and Bergeson found themselves trailing in the final set, but came back to take the win, 16-14, and earn their third straight victory of the season.
Up next, beach volleyball will travel to Hawaii to face Hawaii-Pacific, Hawaii and Chaminade from March 11-12 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
