
TCU Closes Homestand on Tuesday

FORT WORTH, Texas – The TCU women's basketball team will look for its first 4-0 start since 2008 when the Frogs host Grambling at Schollmaier Arena on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
The Frogs (3-0) will have a quick turnaround as they just defeated SMU, 76-67, on Sunday afternoon. In that contest, TCU hit 15 3-pointers, tying for the second most in program history. AJ Alix led TCU with 20 points, including five 3-pointers of her own.

Special Events/Promotions
To celebrate "FrogsGiving", fans can bring a canned food item and receive a free popcorn in game. All canned food will be donated to the North Texas Food Bank.
It will also be Walking Taco Tuesday where fans can enjoy $3 walking tacos all night.
Last Time Out
TCU connected on 15 3-pointers, including their first nine, in a 76-67 win over SMU on Sunday afternoon. The 15 3-pointers were two shy of a school record, and the nine consecutive makes were two shy of an NCAA record.
Alix led the Frogs with 20 points, including five 3-pointers. Jordan Moore registered her first career double-double with 13 points and a career-high 11 rebounds. Jada Butts added 14 points, six rebounds and a career-high seven assists.
TCU led by just three points, 46-43, at halftime, but held SMU to 10 points in the third quarter and grew the lead to as much as 15 points early in the fourth quarter.
Scouting Grambling
Grambling's (1-2) lone win this season came on the road at ULM, 59-54, last Tuesday. The Lady Tigers lost their last time out, 69-55, at Louisiana Tech on Saturday. Shakyla Hill led Grambling with 22 points at Louisiana Tech, that one game after she recorded 19 points in the win over ULM.
Grambling finished fourth in the SWAC last season with a 13-5 conference mark. The Lady Tigers return four starters from that team, including HIll who was Second Team All-SWAC and Jazmin Boyd who was the SWAC Freshman of the Year.
The Series
TCU leads the all-time series over Grambling, 5-2. The Lady Tigers won meetings in 1994-95 and 1995-96. Since, the Frogs have won five straight, with the most recent meeting coming in 2013-14.
Raegan Pebley is 1-0 against Grambling. Her Fresno State team beat GSU in 2012-13 at home, 64-52.
Starting Five
1) TCU is looking for its first 4-0 start since the 2008-09 season. The Frogs have started 4-0 seven times in program history.
2) The Frogs lead the nation with a 2.37 assist-turnover ratio this season. TCU has posted assist-turnover marks of 25-9, 24-10 and 22-11 in its three games. The Frogs 23.7 assists per game rank fourth in the NCAA and their 10.0 turnovers are the third fewest in the NCAA.
3) In the third quarter this season, TCU is outscoring its three opponents by an average score of 27.3 to 7.0. The Frogs are shooting 59 percent in third quarters and holding their opponents to 19 percent shooting.
4) TCU has won 19 straight, and 39 of its last 40, home games against unranked opponents. Overall, the Frogs have won eight straight home games and have an 11-4 record inside Schollmaier Arena. TCU is 32-8 at home under Raegan Pebley.
5) Jordan Moore is the only Frog to score in double figures in all three games this season. It is the first string of three-straight in double figures in the sophomore center's career. She is shooting 76.2 percent (16-of-21) on the season, the fourth best mark in the NCAA.
