
#SwimDive Concludes First Day at Art Adamson

MANSFIELD, Texas -- The TCU men's and women's swimming and diving teams wrapped up the first portion of a three-day meet with two athletes earning their way into the "A" finals at the Art Adamson Invitational in Mansfield on Thursday.
In the 500-yard freestyle, junior Connor Dobbs placed fourth behind a time of 4:26.66. Sophomore Jack McLaughlin followed in eighth with a time of 4:31.25. In the 500 free "B" final, freshman Radu Duican went on to place 2nd to give him 10th overall in the event.
Senior Garrett Hills, junior John Smith, and sophomores Ross Sullivan and Jonathan Drewes placed seventh in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:21.53. On the women's side, sophomore Micaela Roemer and freshmen Claire Munster, Emily Gibson and Amanda Key recorded 14 points for the Horned Frogs after finishing in 10th at 1:34.26.
Freshman Elise Forzley earned sixth place in the 200 IM "B" finals after finishing the race at 2:02.29.
In the 400 medley relay, senior Jake Powell, junior Jakub Swierczynski, Smith and Hills took home eighth behind a finals time of 3:19.00.
The Frogs will return to the Mansfield Natatorium at 9:30 a.m. on Friday for a set of prelims before returning later that night to compete in the finals.
