Fisher Honored By Big 12 Conference Monday

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU freshman Jaylen Fisher was named Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Newcomer of the Week by the league office Monday morning.
Fisher, who shared weekly accolades with Baylor's Manu Leconte, tallied 13 points and seven assists in his first career start against St. Thomas Friday night. He also had a game-high four steals, the most in a season-opener by a TCU player since 2006, while connecting on 6-of-14 (.429) shots from the field in 27 minutes of action.
The Horned Frogs will be back in action tonight against Alabama State. Start time is set for 8:00 p.m. and will be shown on FOX Sports Southwest Plus.
