SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Junior Matthew Brown finished sixth overall at the 11th annual Incarnate Word Invitational at Live Oak City Park on Saturday.
Brown paced the men's team, logging a time of 24:33.4 in the 8,000-meter run. Brown raced with the front pack as he improved on last year's time by 17 seconds. Senior Ryan Spetnagel, junior Henry Butz, and sophomore Patrick LaCour rounded out the Horned Frog effort with an average time of 25:54.
Overall, the men's squad placed sixth. Up next, TCU will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the NCAA Pre-National meet in Terre Haute, Ind. for an 11 a.m. competition.
