Traver Named Preseason All-American

FORT WORTH – TCU redshirt junior Mitchell Traver has been named a Perfect Game second-team preseason All-American.
Traver is coming off a banner 2015 that saw him pace the Horned Frogs with a 1.89 ERA, a mark that ranked fourth in the Big 12. In 76 1/3 innings pitched, Traver tallied 77 strikeouts and held opponents to a .184 batting average.
An honorable mention all-Big 12 performer, Traver was drafted in the 28th round of the 2015 first year player draft by the St. Louis Cardinals but elected to return for his redshirt junior season.
TCU kicks off its 2016 campaign on Feb. 19 when it plays host to Loyola Marymount.
