Carter Earns Big 12 Honor

FORT WORTH – TCU soccer's Faith Carter has been named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week for her performance in two TCU victories this past weekend.
Carter scored in both games this past week, as the Horned Frogs extended their winning streak to three matches. The freshman forward converted a header in the 87th minute against Maryland for the game-winner in a 2-1 victory. Both of her shots in the contest were on goal as she played 41 minutes. Carter followed that performance with another score in TCU's 4-0 win over Oral Roberts, with three of her shots in the game on goal. She played 35 minutes versus ORU.
The honor is the first of Carter's career and the first for the Horned Frogs this season.
TCU returns to the pitch this weekend for a pair of contests Friday and Sunday. First up is a Friday night match-up against Abilene Christian. On Sunday, the Frogs will welcome North Texas to Garvey-Rosenthal for a Sunday night contest. Both matches are set to begin at 7.
