"We had a solid time trial several weeks ago and the team has made clear progress in their training since that time," coach Jennifer Fazioli said. "I am excited to see where they are now that we are stepping into a competitive setting for the first time in four months."
The women's team welcomes back four athletes, including sophomore Dominique Tilly, who finished 16th out of 96 at the Bear Twilight Invitational last year. The Frogs also welcome back sophomores Anna Cozart, Nicole Hicks and Bailey Sullivan.
The men's team returns eight: Matthew Brown, Robbie Lacomble, Dylan Larkin, Greg May, Shane Murray, Aaron Reichner, Ryan Spetnagel and Dillon Smith. Smith posted a team-best time of 20:07.1 at last year's Bear Twilight Invitational 6K race, placing in the top 30.
"The Baylor meet should be one more step on the journey to the ultimate goal: improving on last year's conference performance while having each individual buy in to being competitive at the highest level and putting in the accompanying work necessary to make that happen," said Fazioli.
The women's 4K race will begin at 7 p.m. prior to the start of the men's 6K race.
