TCU forced extra innings with a ninth inning rally that saw the Horned Frogs tie the game at one. Connor Wanhanen opened the frame with a base hit. Evan Skoug followed to put two runners on. After an Evan Williams sacrifice, the Aggies intentionally walked Nolan Brown to load the bases. Keaton Jones delivered the game-tying sacrifice fly, but the Frogs would strand two runners in the inning.
Preston Morrison (11-3) worked around a two-out hit in the ninth to send the game to extra innings. The senior finished the afternoon pitching a career-high 9 1/3 innings. He allowed two runs on seven hits, walked two and struck out five.
After the Frogs were retired in order in the top of the 10th, the Aggies were able to push across the winning run. Nick Choruby walked and moved to third on a base hit from Michael Barash. The Frogs went to the bullpen and called on Riley Ferrell. Allemand hit a fly ball to left on a 1-1 pitch to lock up the win.
Texas A&M had the game's first chance to push across a run in the second inning after a lead-off double from Nick Banks. He was standing on third with only one out, but Morrison tallied back-to-back strikeouts to end the inning.
Three times in the first four innings, the Frogs had the lead-off batter on, but Aggie starter Matt Kent was able to work out of the jams by inducing a pair of double play balls.
TCU's first real chance to get on the board came in the fifth after a two-out walk to Derek Odell. Garrett Crain followed with a base hit to left to put runners on the corners. Kent wiggled off the hook with a ground out to keep the game scoreless.
Texas A&M finally cracked the scoreboard in the sixth. TCU looked like it would escape trouble after a lead-off double advanced to third with one out. Mitchell Nau hit a one-hopper right at Keaton Jones, who threw home to cut down the run. On the play, Nau was able to made it to second. Logan Taylor delivered a two-out double to left to put the Aggies in front, 1-0.
The Horned Frogs fall to 48-13 overall. TCU and Texas A&M will play a winner-take-all game three for the right to go to the College World Series Monday night. First pitch for Monday's game is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN.
