Gore Excelling Off The Court

Heading into his senior season, the El Paso native has not only seen significant minutes for the Horned Frogs on the court, but more importantly excelled off the court, twice being named Academic All-Big 12 First Team. The finance major has posted a 3.7 GPA during his time at TCU and has played in almost 50 games in his two years. Following this past season, Gore received the prestigious Dr. James Cash Academic Award for his work in the classroom.
Gore, who has made six starts during his time in Fort Worth, shot over 40 percent from the field this past season. He played in a total of 17 games, while also seeing minutes in TCU's second round match-up versus Kansas at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship. Gore opened the season recording a season-high six-point outing versus Washington State, going a perfect 2-for-2 from behind the arc. In all, he saw action in seven league games in 2014-15, which including seeing seven minutes at Iowa State to end the month of January.
As he heads into his final season in a Horned Frog uniform, Gore gives TCU someone who has a very high Basketball IQ and has been through the rigors of a full basketball campaign. In 2013-14, he played in all 31 contests, tallying double digits in scoring three times. He closed the season recording 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the floor, including 3-of-3 from deep against Baylor at the 2014 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship in Kansas City.
