TCU Climbs Into Top 10 at NCAAs

BRADENTON, Fla. - Andrew Presley led a strong effort from the TCU men's golf team on the second day at the NCAA Championship as the Horned Frogs jumped three spots to eighth place at The Concession Golf Club.
The Horned Frogs carded a 5-over round of 293 and sit four strokes out of the top five and five strokes ahead of the cut line entering the first round of elimination following Sunday's round.
Presley registered a 2-under 70 on his second trip through the tough course to move into 12th overall. The senior from Fort Worth rolled in five birdies on the day, including back-to-back birdies on the final two holes.
Chelso Barrett also turned in a stellar second round with a 1-under 71 for his fourth sub-par round in the last five rounds of NCAA play. The Keene, N.H., native made the turn at even par and rolled in three birdies against two bogeys on the final nine holes.
Julien Brun carded a 3-over 75, bouncing back from a 4-over from nine to go 1-under on the final nine holes, while Paul Barjon (77) and Giulio Castagnara (78) rounded out the scoring.
