TCU Announces Athletes of the Week

FORT WORTH, Texas - Men's track and field's Cameron Echols-Luper and women's tennis' Simona Parajova have been named the TCU Muscle Milk Athletes of the Week for their recent performances.
Echols-Luper, a sophomore from Auburn, Alabama, picked up two wins last weekend at the Michael Johnson Classic in Waco. In his first outdoor meet of the season, he ran the second leg of the top 4x100 relay that posted a time of 39.53 seconds in a loaded field of competitors. The reigning Big 12 Indoor Long Jump Champion also took the crown in the long jump with a mark of 7.44m (24-5).
The track and field teams compete in Gainesville, Florida, at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational on Friday, April 24.
Parajova, a senior from Zvolen, Slovakia, closed out her regular season career at TCU by winning her 10th straight doubles match with a 6-4 victory. In singles, she notched win No. 22 this season, improving to 14-2 in duals competitions and nine consecutive at 7-6(7), 6-3.
Parajova and the women's tennis team begins play at the Big 12 Championships against Texas on Friday, April 24, in Waco.
