TCU Announces Athletes of the Week

FORT WORTH, Texas - Men's tennis' Nick Chappell and women's tennis' Simona Parajova have been named the TCU Muscle Milk Athletes of the Week for their recent performances.
Chappell, a senior from Indianapolis, Indiana, posted two singles victories last weekend, improving his overall win total to 13 this season. On Friday, No. 48 Chappell picked up a 6-3, 6-2 decision to help propel the Horned Frogs to a win over Middle Tennessee. On Sunday, he also posted a hard-fought win at 6-2, 6-7 (7-9), 7-6 (7-5).
Chappell and the men's tennis team returns to action on March 15 and 16 with bouts against Michigan and Illinois, respectively, at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
Parajova, the senior from Zvolen, Slovakia, recorded wins in both doubles and singles in the 6-1 victory over SMU on Saturday. Along with Sofiko Kadzhaya, Parajova picked up the 6-4 doubles win and then won her singles bout, where she also ranks No. 48, at 6-2, 6-2.
Parajova and the women's tennis team begins Big 12 play in the state of Kansas, with matches against Kansas State and Kansas on March 13 and 15, respectively.
