Twenty-Three Horned Frogs Received Honors in 2014

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Twenty-three TCU football student-athletes received postseason honors in the 2014 campaign.
The Horned Frogs, who won their first Big 12 championship in just their third season in the conference, closed the year ranked third in season-ending polls by the Associated Press and Amway USA Today Coaches. TCU concluded its 12-1 campaign with a 42-3 victory over Ole Miss in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin received the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award while finishing fourth in Heisman Trophy voting. Linebacker Paul Dawson was recognized by the NCAA as a consensus first-team All-American. Boykin and Dawson were also the Big 12 Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year.
Additionally, head coach Gary Patterson received 10 National Coach of the Year honors as well as being the Chuck Neinas Big 12 Coach of the Year.
The Horned Frogs return 15 starters, including 10 on offense, in 2015. The season opener is Sept. 3 at Minnesota.
