TCU Announces Athletes of the Week

FORT WORTH, Texas - Track and field's Sam Watts and women's basketball's Chelsea Prince have been named TCU's Muscle Milk Athletes of the Week for their recent performances.

Watts, from London, England, produced the world's fastest time this season in the men's 200 meters at the New Mexico Team Invitational in Albuquerque on Jan. 31. The junior sprinter finished in 20.69 seconds, beating his personal best of 21.05. It's the second-fastest indoor time in school history.

This weekend, the track and field team is headed to College Station for the Texas A&M Aggie Invitational on Feb. 7.

Prince, a senior forward, posted 12 points, nine rebounds and matched a career-high with seven steals in the 64-59 win against Texas on Feb. 1. The Fort Worth native also set a career high with four 3-pointers on seven attempts helping the Horned Frogs earn the victory over the Longhorns.

The women's basketball team returns home for a bout with Texas Tech on Sunday, Feb. 8, at 1 p.m.
