FORT WORTH, Texas -- Looking to extend an 11-game home winning streak, TCU plays host to Stephen F. Austin for a Wednesday night in-state showdown at the University Recreation Center on the campus of TCU.
TCU (6-2) has built an impressive home winning streak dating to last season. The streak is currently at 11 games, including six to end last season. It marks the sixth time in program history that TCU has won at least 10 straight games at home and the first time it has happened since a streak that spanned the 2008-09 through 2010-11 seasons. Only an 18-game streak during the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons and a program-best 27-game streak during the 2008-09 and 2010-11 seasons is longer.
The Horned Frogs are 213-53 (.800) at home since the start of the 1999-2000 season and 20-3 over the last two seasons. Over the last three seasons, the Horned Frogs have posted a 33-7 mark at home as it has settled into its transition into the nation's toughest women's basketball league - the Big 12 Conference.
The Frogs host Stephen F. Austin on Wednesday before facing third-ranked Notre Dame on Saturday in the third game of a four-game homestand that also includes the opening of the Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena on Dec. 20 against Southern Utah.
Senior All-American candidate Zahna Medley leads the Frogs with 16.9 points and 3.4 rebounds per game. She also had 31 assists on the year while shooting over 48 percent form the field and over 47 percent from the behind the three-point arc.
Medley currently ranks high in several career NCAA marks amongst active players. She ranks fourth in career three-point field goals, 16th in points, 12th in assists and 13th in free throw percentage.
2015-16 HIGHLIGHTS
Zahna Medley and Veja Hamilton earned preseason All-Big 12 Conference honors in a vote of the league's coaches. Medley earned first team honors while Hamilton was awarded honorable mention selections.
TCU was picked to finish fifth in the Big 12 Conference in a tally of the league's head coaches. TCU was just one point behind fourth place Iowa State. The Frogs have finished ahead of where they were picked in the preseason standings in the league in each of the last two seasons.
TCU will open play in the Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena on Dec. 20, 2015 when the Horned Frogs host Southern Utah at 3:30 p.m. CT.
TCU has made major strides in enjoying success on the road in 2015-16 - beating SMU 89-79 on Nov. 18 then posting a 82-78 setback at No. 12/12 Texas A&M on Nov. 21.
The Horned Frogs have signed one of the best recruiting classes in program history and one of the nation's top 10 classes this year with the November 2015 signings of Amber Ramirez, Mikayla Christian, Kianna Ray, Ella Hellessey and Danielle Rainey. Ramirez is the top signee in the class and is ranked among the top 15 players nationally, making her the second highest rated player to sign with TCU in program history behind Sandora Irvin (ranked 6th prior to joining Frogs).
TALKING POINTS AND NOTABLE STATISTICS
TCU has won 11 straight games played at home and are 20-3 at home in the University Recreation Center over the last two seasons. Two of the three losses came to teams ranked in the top five nationally.
TCU currently has six players averaging at least 8.0 points per game. In program history, TCU's 1999-00 team had six players average at least 8.0 points per game and the program has had nine teams have at least five players average 8.0 points per game or more for a season.
TCU is in its second season under the leadership of head coach Raegan Pebley. Pebley led TCU to 18 wins in 2014-15, the most wins in a coaches' first-year at TCU in program history.
In two seasons under Raegan Pebley, TCU is 14-5 before the turn of the calendar year.
STATISTICAL JUMPSHOTS
Senior Zahna Medley has knocked down at least three three-point field goals in seven-of-eight games this season. She accomplished the feat just nine times last season and has done it 40 times in her career.
Medley has dished out multiple assists in 11 consecutive games.
Medley made her 100th career start in the game vs. ULM.
Medley nailed her 250th career three-point field goal in the win over ULM on Dec. 5, 2015.
Freshman Jordan Moore has multiple blocks in seven-of-eight games this season.
With senior Caitlin Diaz and sophomore Toree Thompson making their first career starts on Nov. 28, 2015 against UT Rio Grande Valley, a total of nine players on the TCU roster have at least one career start to their credit.
TCU played seven games in the opening 19 days of the season, including road trips to SMU, Texas A&M and Butler.

TCU spent the 2014-15 season playing its home games in the University Recreation Center on campus due to the ongoing renovation to the Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena and return to the venue for seven games to open the 2015-16 campaign. The change of venue provided a unique setting for TCU women's basketball last season with the Horned Frogs taking advantage of the small and loud venue.
TCU went 15-3 and averaged 1,414 fans in 2014-15 at home, the figure represents a sold-out season.
TCU overcame an eight-point deficit to win on five occasions during the 2014-15 season at the University Recreation Center.
TCU won its first postseason game since 2008 when the Horned Frogs beat Stephen F. Austin on March 19, 2015 while also securing impressive wins over Iowa State, Texas and West Virginia during the regular season.
TCU beat Iowa State after erasing a 24-point second-half deficit by scoring 65 points in the second 20 minutes of play. The Frogs and Cyclones combined to hit 18 three-point field goals in the game as TCU won 86-84, leading for a total of five seconds the entire game.
TCU defeated No. 13 Texas on Feb. 1, 2015 to secure just the second win over the Longhorns in program history, including a second straight at home.
TCU beat No. 16 Oklahoma State on Jan. 10
TCU also beat eventual Postseason Women's NIT runner-up West Virginia at home on Feb. 24, 2015.
INJURY BUG HITS FROGS
TCU has had a flurry of injuries that has forced four players to miss time this season. The Frogs were down three players against UT Rio Grande Valley and Butler and down two against ULM. The Frogs were without 23.6 average points against UT Rio Grande Valley and 19.2 points against Butler.
It caused the Frogs to miss a total of four starts this season (start is considered if a player started in their most recent game they were available before injury forced them to miss next game).
