TCU Student-Athletes Receive Diplomas Saturday

FORT WORTH, Texas -- 39 student-athletes from 12 sports will walk across the stage and receive their diplomas on Saturday during the 2015 Fall Commencement ceremonies inside Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena.21 student-athletes will represent the football team on Saturday, the most of all the programs at TCU. The star studded senior class includes 2014 Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award winner Trevone Boykin, a two-time All-American and multiple-time Davey O'Brien Award finalist. Josh Doctson will also be honored on Saturday after being named a unanimous All-America selection following a 2015 season that saw him named a Biletnikoff Award finalist. Jaden Oberkrom, a four-time All-Big 12 selection, along with Aaron Green, who became TCU's first 1,000-yard rusher since 2010 this season, will also receive their degrees inside Schollmaier Arena.
Other notables on the gridiron include Kolby Listenbee, a USTFCCCA All-American in 2014, Kenny Cain, Davion Pierson and Mike Tuaua. In addition, four former standouts in Quincy Butler, Drew Coleman, Matthew Tucker and Skye Dawson all completed their degrees following careers in the NFL.
Other recent All-America honorees set to walk across the stage Saturday include Katelyn Gray of the equestrian program. Gray will earn her degree after being named a two-time NCEA All-American and the 2015 Big 12 Equestrian Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Lavon Collins, a track and field standout, will receive his diploma after earning two All-America certificates, while Megan Smith garnered USTFCCCA Second Team All-America accolades during the 2014 outdoor campaign in the women's discus. Finally, Megan Lee earned All-America honors in rifle following the 2013 season.
An individual conference champion set to hear his name called Saturday includes Cooper Robinson who will go down in history as being TCU's first Big 12 Conference Champion, earning the honor in swimming and diving.
