Track & Field Adds Two Signees

FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU track and field team announced the signings of two future Horned Frogs on Wednesday.
The signees include Isaiah Rogers and Lindsay Tomaini.
Rogers, a native of Smyrna, Ga., is a nationally-ranked thrower. Rogers is ranked third in the nation in shot put and ranks top 10 in the nation in the weight and hammer throws. Rogers has earned numerous accolades during his career at Campbell High School. He was most recently the 2015 USATF Junior Olympics Champion and a New Balance All-American. Rogers also was a part of the 2015 World Youth Team.
Rogers holds top marks of 63-11.25 in the shot put, 71-09 in the weight throw, and 206 in the hammer throw.
Tomaini, from Naples, Fla., will run distance for the Horned Frogs. Tomaini currently holds top times of 5:13 in the 1,600-meter, 11:14 in the 3,200-meter and 18:45 in the 5K. Tomaini garnered a fourth-place finish at the 2015 FHSAA CC State Finals.
Throughout her high school career, Tomaini provided consistent performances for Community School's track and cross country teams. Tomaini qualified for state in track all four years and qualified for the high school state meet five years in a row, dating back to eighth grade.
The two newest signees add to four top athletes that signed National Letters of Intent last week. Of the six total signees, five are ranked in the top three in the state for their respective events.
Leilyn Miles is ranked No. 1 in Texas in the shot put with a personal-record 48-6 throw. Ryan Champlin, a sprinter, is ranked second in the state in the 400 meters. Jostyn Andrews ranks third in the 400 meters. Kendahl Shue specializes in the pole vault and ranks third in Texas.
