Kadzhaya, the Odessa, Ukraine native, clenched the Flight A Singles crown this past weekend in Denton, Texas at the Wild West Shootout II. This is her second singles title of this fall.
Next up for Kadzhaya and the TCU Horned Frogs is the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, which will take place Nov. 12-15 in Flushing, N.Y., and the Rebel Invite on Nov. 13-15 in Las Vegas, Nev. The team will split this competition.
Nixon, the Austin, Texas native, had career highs at the game against Oklahoma State, where he racked up nine catches for 146 yards. With those numbers, Nixon became the fourth Horned Frog this season to have a 100-yard receiving game alongside Josh Doctson, Kolby Listenbee and KaVontae Turpin.
Nixon and the Horned Frogs return to Amon G. Carter Stadium to host the Kansas Jayhawks this Saturday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m.
