McFarland, a junior defensive end, registered career highs of 3.0 sacks and two forced fumbles in the Horned Frogs' 56-0 win over SMU on Saturday.
The West Monroe, La., native also stopped the Mustangs on fourth-and-goal on TCU's 1-yard line midway through the second quarter, batting down a pass in the end zone. McFarland currently leads TCU with 6.0 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks on the season.
The 25th-ranked Frogs return to action this Saturday to play host to No. 3 Oklahoma at 2:30 p.m.
Gibson, a junior from Southlake, Texas, opened the season strong against Tulane on Saturday, winning the 100 and 200-yard back events with marks of 56.64 and 2:05.09, respectively, as the Frogs rolled to a 179-121 victory.
The Frogs get back in action on Oct. 12 when they take on the University of Texas-Permian Basin in Andrews, Texas.
