Tuaua registered career highs in tackles (seven), tackles for loss (3.5) and sacks (2.0) in TCU's 48-14 win against Samford on Saturday. The junior defensive end from Rohnert Park, Calif., also forced two fumbles as the Horned Frogs limited Samford to just 143 yards of total offense.
The Frogs return to action on Sat., Sept. 13 at 3 p.m., against Minnesota at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
Holland picked up where she left off from her junior campaign in TCU's wins over William & Mary and Iona on Saturday afternoon. The Richardson, Texas, native tallied 17 kills against only one error for a .552 hitting percentage in the sweep over William & Mary.
Holland followed up with 16 kills and a .425 hitting percentage against Iona to help the Frogs win two of their first three contests of the season.
The Frogs will open their 2014 home slate this weekend by hosting the TCU Nike Invitational, competing against Grambling State (12:30 p.m.) and Miami (8 p.m.) on Friday and Prairie View A&M (11 a.m.) and UALR (7 p.m.) on Saturday.
