Men's Golf Surges to Fourth-Place Showing

The Horned Frogs entered Saturday's final round in 12th spot before posting the lone sub-par round of the day with a 2-under 286 in windy conditions.
Junior Paul Barjon followed up a solid showing on Friday with a 2-under 70, marking the lowest round among all 92 competitors to finish the tournament in fifth place. Barjon earned his third-career top-five showing and is the second-straight Frog to earn a top-five finish this season.
Sophomore Chelso Barrett also continued his consistent play with a 1-under 71, marking one of only five sub-par rounds on the afternoon. The Keene, N.H., native finished in 12th spot and led TCU with four birdies in the final round.
Fellow sophomore Giulio Castagnara locked in a top-30 finish with a 2-over 74, while senior Andrew Presley bounced back from a tough Friday performance with a 1-under 71.
TCU returns to action to host the Nike Collegiate Invitational at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth on Oct. 6-7.
