The 50 PGA Tour cards were finalized following Sunday's season finale at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra, Fla. Twenty-five golfers qualified as regular-season earners on the Web.com Tour, while the 25 top earners from the four-event Web.com Tour Finals also qualified.
Hoge, who lettered for the Horned Frogs from 2007-11, punched his ticket at the Chiquita Classic in Davidson, N.C., on Sept. 7 by finishing third with a 54-hole total of 15-under 273, including a second-round 63. The tournament was the second of four tournaments on the Web.com Tour's Finals.
Hoge followed up with a 22nd-place showing last weekend at the Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship in Columbus, Ohio, marking his sixth top-25 finish of the season. Hoge's three top-10 finishes and six top-25 showings are both career highs in three seasons on the Web.com Tour.
The Fargo, N.D., native will become only the third North Dakotan ever to play on the PGA Tour and the first from Fargo when he competes in five events this fall.
Joining Hoge on the PGA Tour will be veteran J.J. Henry, who was also one of the 50 golfers to qualify. The upcoming 2014-15 season marks Henry's 18th on the Tour.
Hoge ranks in the top 10 in four career categories at TCU and tied for third place with Oklahoma State's Rickie Fowler at the 2009 NCAA Championship, where is he just one of five Frogs all-time to finish in the top five individually.
Hoge earned Honorable Mention All-America honors during the 2009 season, as he is just one of four Frogs all-time to collect All-America accolades by the end of their sophomore season (J.J. Henry, Alberto Ochoa, Julien Brun).
