BIG 12 CHAMPION, AGAIN!
How about football and track and field student-athlete Jordan Moore! He captured his second conference championship of the season by winning the 110-meter hurdles at the Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Championships this past weekend in Lubbock. Jordan tied a school record with his time of 13.64. He also won the Big 12 indoor title in the 60-meter hurdles.
UPGRADE SEASON
Thank you to everyone who participated in our football season ticket and donor parking upgrade process. As we mentioned last week, we're currently at 28,000 season tickets and weIl on our way to a third consecutive sellout of 32,000. We had another successful year of upgrading with many of our fans getting the areas they wanted. In particular, sections 101, 102, 120 and 121 sold out. On Friday, we will begin new sales to fans on our wait list for season tickets or donor parking. If you have not already done so, please contact the ticket office to be included in this process.
As a reminder, please be sure to get your road game ticket orders submitted and paid in the ticket office by the May 31 deadline. We have some great trips within the state this year.
CROWNE PLAZA INVITATIONAL
This year's Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial will have quite a TCU Horned Frogs flavor. With Julien Brun, Franklin Corpening and J.J. Henry, we'll have three products of our men's golf program in the field. Julien is competing as an amateur after earning an exemption by winning the Spirit International Amateur Championship last summer. Julien has won his last two events, the Big 12 Championship and NCAA Regional, to extend his TCU career record to nine tournament wins. No other Horned Frog has won more than three titles. In addition to Julien, Franklin and J.J., we'll have Coach Patterson displaying his talents on the links. He'll play with J.J. in Wednesday's Pro-Am with a 12:20 tee time on hole No. 1. Make sure to head out to Colonial, wear purple and show your support for our Horned Frogs this weekend!
CONGRATULATIONS J-MAN!
It was great to see associate athletics director for development Jeremiah Donati recognized in the annual 40 under 40 by the Fort Worth Business Press.
WATCHING PARTY SET
Our baseball program will host an NCAA Baseball Selection Show Watching Party on Monday in the Champions Club of Amon G. Carter Stadium. The doors will open at 10:45 a.m. for the 11 a.m. show. Bring the family and join our players and coaches as they learn their postseason destination and opponents.
TALKIN' TCU BASEBALL
The final Jim Schlossnagle Radio Show is set for Tuesday, May 27, at The Woodshed from 6 to 7 p.m. The entire team will be on hand to visit with fans, sign autographs and take photos.
ALUMNI WATCH
Congratulations to former TCU women's golf standout Valentine Derrey on capturing her first win on the Ladies European Tour! She posted a two-shot victory at the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open. Val was an All-American and four-time all-conference selection (2007-10) during her time as a Horned Frog. She's currently in her fourth year on the Ladies European Tour.

ON THE DOCKET
It's an exciting week on tap with a Big 12 tournament and postseason tennis on the slate. Our baseball program begins play today at 12:30 p.m. versus Baylor at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship in Oklahoma City. If you can't make it to the Chickasaw Brickyard Ballpark, all the games leading up to the championship will be televised on FOX College Sports. The title game will be carried by FOX Sports 1. Nick Chappell and Will Stein will represent our men's tennis program with Stefanie Tan on the women's side as play begins today at the NCAA Championships in Athens, Ga. Nick and Will are ranked 11th nationally in doubles. Nick will also be competing in singles. Stefanie made the Sweet 16 at last year's NCAA Championships.

NAME THE MOVIE QUOTE
Last Week's Answer: You can't get one past Rusty Griswold, played brilliantly by Anthony Michael Hall, when he said to his father in Vacation, "That was a crummy Wyatt Earp, dad. He was wearing jogging shoes."
This Week's Quote: "It's you, McMuffin!"
COMPLIANCE CORNER
Bo Gee is a golf student-athlete at Ocean State University. Bo had a bit of a rough season this spring and wants to make sure he is doing the right things over the summer to improve his game. Bo asks the coach if he can set up a meeting with him one day this summer to discuss ways he can get better.
Is this permissible?
Yes with conditions. NCAA Official Interpretation - 11/7/91 - Individual consultation with a coach initiated voluntarily by a student-athlete - states that individual consultation with a coaching staff member initiated voluntarily by a student-athlete is not a countable athletically related activity, provided any discussion between the coach and the student-athlete is limited to general counseling activities and does not involve activities set forth in 17.02.12.1 (e.g., chalk talk; use of equipment relating to the sport; field, floor or on-court activity).
