TCU Student-Athletes Receive Diplomas Saturday

FORT WORTH, Texas - Over 40 student-athletes walked across the stage and received their diplomas Saturday during 2014 Spring Commencement ceremonies at Amon G. Carter Stadium.

The spring group is highlighted by a number of individuals who either have already concluded or are still compiling accomplished careers as TCU student-athletes. Numerous Horned Frogs earned all-conference honors, and several student-athletes were named All-Americans during their TCU careers.

All-America honorees include Caitlin Ader (equestrian), Veronica Jones (women's track), Stefanie Tan (women's tennis) and Charles Silmon (men's track) who captured the 2013 NCAA Outdoor Championship in the men's 100 meters and closed his career as a nine-time All-American.

Conference champions who received their diplomas Saturday are Jones, Sanna Nuutinen, Silmon and Cameron Tabor.

The Horned Frog football program graduated the most student-athletes with nine, followed closely by the equestrian team's six. Robert Henson, a multiple-time all-conference linebacker who lettered from 2005 through 2008, was drafted in the sixth round by the Washington Redskins in the 2009 NFL Draft.
