
Patterson Receives Coaching Accolades

FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU head football coach Gary Patterson has been named the 2014 AFCA Regional Coach of the Year as well as one of eight finalists for the Eddie Robinson Award, recognizing the nation's top coach.
Patterson led the Horned Frogs (11-1) to their first Big 12 championship in just their third season in the conference. TCU was picked seventh in the preseason Big 12 poll.
Former TCU offensive coordinator and now Memphis head coach Justin Fuente is also a finalist for the 2014 Eddie Robinson Award.
In 2009, Patterson was the recipient of both the AFCA Coach of the Year and the Eddie Robinson Award.
Patterson has won a total of 10 National Coach of the Year honors in his 14 seasons as head coach of the Horned Frogs.
TCU faces Ole Miss on Dec. 31 in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl in Atlanta.
