
Texada Receives Freshman All-America Accolades

FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU cornerback Ranthony Texada has been named a second-team Freshman All-American by Scout.com.
Texada has started all 12 games this season and is second on the Horned Frogs with seven pass breakups to go with an interception. He has 26 solo stops among his 31 total tackles, including 3 1/2 for loss. He had a sack as part of a career-high tying five stops against Oklahoma.
A Frisco, Texas, native, Texada also blocked a PAT at Kansas.
The Horned Frogs face Ole Miss on Dec. 31 in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
