IRVING, Texas -- Six TCU football players have received Academic All-Big 12 recognition.

Tight end Bryson Burtnett (business), safety Geoff Hooker (mechanical engineering), tight end Buck Jones (mechanical engineering), offensive tackle Joseph Noteboom (computer information technology) and place-kicker Jaden Oberkrom (psychology) are first-team honorees.

Center Joey Hunt (business) is on the second team.
