| TCU Moderator: Welcome to today's online chat with Chris Del Conte, |
| Frisco TX: What are the future detailed upgrades such as technology, scoreboard, etc to the Carter in the planning stages? |
Chris Del Conte: Once the renovations are completed to our new basketball facility and Lupton Stadium, we'll review every area of Amon G. Carter Stadium. Topics being discussed are the video board, wrap-around ribbons and improved Wi-Fi and sound system. Just let me know if you have any other suggestions. |
| Charles H. ( Fort Worth): Chris, thx for doing great job as always! Any talk going on behind closed doors to expand the Big 12 to 12 schools? |
Chris Del Conte: Thanks for the words of encouragement. I'm honored to work at TCU. As our commissioner said last week, we have not had any discussion on expansion. |
| Craig (Seattle): Chris, Coach Meacham and Cumbie have revolutionized TCU's offense; what is your plan to make sure they keep their homes in Fort Worth? |
Chris Del Conte: I'm sure Coach Patterson and I will have a discussion at the end of the season about keeping all of our coaches. |
| Mike (LA): If Coach P doesn't enjoy politicking for the CFP, why don't you field those media questions at our weekly presser? You're a natural! |
Chris Del Conte: The weekly presser is best left for Coach P. |
| Byron (Houston): Hey Chris, It's a great day to be a Frog! Cheers |
Chris Del Conte: No doubt! Every day is a great day to be a Frog! |
| Kim: When are we going to rally the troops to vote for Trevone for the Davey O'Brien Award? (www.voteobrien.org) |
Chris Del Conte: We have a lot of football to still play. Let's just worry about beating Kansas. |
| Glenn Gillaspy (Metro Washington): Where will Frog Basketball home games be played? Will Rogers? Convention Center? |
Chris Del Conte: We'll be playing at Madison Square Garden Southwest, otherwise known as Wilkerson-Greines. |
| Dustin (Fort Worth): Ole Miss recently turned to online crowdsourcing to pay for fines and damages. Is this something you would consider to raise funds for a specific need? |
Chris Del Conte: Hopefully, we won't have any fines or damages that we would need assistance with. |
| TheFrogHorn.com: Are you surprised at what an impact the students are making at our football games this year? |
Chris Del Conte: I'm not surprised at all. We have the greatest student section in America. |
| Matt: Do you anticipate any changes to Amon G Carter after this year? If so, what? Curious if your team has looked at expanding the # of seats available behind the TCU bench. Seems like more TCU alums are willing to pay for premium seats than supply will allow. |
Chris Del Conte: We have no immediate changes planned for the stadium. As always, we will review how we can improve our game-day atmosphere. I'm sure part of the conversation will be our ticket allocations. |
| Casey (Olathe, Kansas): Will the TCU band be making the trip to KU on Saturday for the Football game? |
Chris Del Conte: The band will not travel to Kansas, but you'll see them in full force at Texas on Thanksgiving Night. |
| Matt (Dallas): I really love the packaging and presentation of football season tickets, but was curious if mobile tickets for season ticket holders is in our future? |
Chris Del Conte: Thanks for acknowledging our ticket presentation. Our marketing and ticket office staffs worked very hard on that. With technology, we will look at the mobile tickets path in the future. |
| Mathew: Any plans for more TCU merchandise? Hard to find things that haven't been produced for the past 5 years. I just want new swag. |
Chris Del Conte: We have 11 different points of sale throughout the stadium that constantly update merchandise. We also have a great selection available through our online store (GoFrogs.com) and local retail outlets. |
| Curtis (Fort Worth): Because of possible playoff ramifications, could the bowl ticket order deadline be pushed back an extra day or two? |
Chris Del Conte: Our current deadline is Dec. 8, after the bowl selection show the day before. Because of the short turnaround to get the tickets distributed, we unfortunately don't have the flexibility to extend this deadline. |
| Maniac (Aledo): When is it OK for a guy to cry? Have you ever been given an award and been moved to tears? |
Chris Del Conte: That must be an inside joke that I'm not aware of. However, if you are so moved to receive such an award that can bring a man to tears, so be it. |
| Jacob: I love TCU with a passion and at work I want to display that love on my desk. Sadly there is a very limited selection of merchandise. Ive looked at the TCU Bookstore and the gofrogs.com store. I was just wondering if there is any way that the university and the sculptor of the Horned Frog Statue in front of AGCS partner up and sell replica statues? Would make a great gift as well could be sold through the frog club to raise funds for scholarships. |
Chris Del Conte: The statue that you're inquiring about is fantastic! That's a good question and something we should look into. |
| TCU Moderator: That concludes today's chat with Chris Del Conte. Thanks for joining us. |
