Team Notes
*The Horned Frogs have opened with a record of 7-1 or better for the fourth time in the last seven seasons and seventh time in 14 years under head coach Gary Patterson.
*TCU improved to 25-3 when taking the field as a top-10 team under Patterson.
*The Horned Frogs are now 5-0 when ESPN's College GameDay is present.
*The Horned Frogs ran for 223 yards and improved to 70-4 under Patterson when rushing for at least 200 yards.
*TCU had two sacks and two interceptions, extending its nation's-best streak to 10 consecutive games with at least one sack and one interception.
*TCU was plus-3 in turnover margin and is now 55-5 over the last 10 seasons when ahead in that category.
*TCU scored for the 275th consecutive game. It's the nation's second-longest current streak and sixth all-time in NCAA history. The Horned Frogs haven't been blanked since Nov. 16, 1991 at Texas (32-0).
*The Horned Frogs entered the game as the only team in the nation to score at least 24 points in the first half of each contest this season, but trailed 13-7 at the half.
*The Horned Frogs rallied from a pair of 13-point deficits for the win. TCU saw its largest deficit of the season when it trailed 13-0 to start the game along with 27-14 in the third quarter.
*The Horned Frogs played their first game this season outside the state of Texas. Prior to today, TCU had five home dates and road contests at SMU and Baylor.
*TCU's team captains were Trevone Boykin, Sam Carter, Joey Hunt and Davion Pierson.
*TCU wore its traditional all-white road uniform with a white helmet.
Individual Notes
*Jaden Oberkrom's 37-yard field goal on the final play of the game provided TCU's winning points. It was also his 50th career field goal, placing fourth on the Horned Frogs' all-time list.
*Deante' Gray's 47-yard touchdown reception from Trevone Boykin was his fourth scoring grab in the last three games and his seventh of the season, tying Josh Doctson for the team lead.
*Gray's touchdowns receptions (7) this season nearly equal his career catches (8) entering the 2014 campaign.
*B.J. Catalon's team-best 105 yards rushing on 20 carries, including two touchdowns, marked his third 100-yard game of the season and of his career.
*Catalon's second-half scoring runs of 23 and 6 yards gave him a team-best 10 rushing scores on the season. His 16 career rushing touchdowns are the most among active Horned Frogs.
*Boykin's 2-yard third-quarter scoring run was his fourth rushing touchdown of the season and the 14th of his career.
*Doctson had three receptions for 29 yards to give him a catch in 12 consecutive games, the longest active streak among current Horned Frogs.
*Paul Dawson had a team-best 12 tackles for TCU to reach double figures in stops for the sixth time this season and 11th time in the last 15 games.
*Dawson had his third interception of the season. He has now taken part in a takeaway in six of eight games this season.
*Derrick Kindred had a career-high 11 tackles, bettering his previous personal-best of 10 stops in a 2012 game at West Virginia.
*Chris Hackett had his team-best fourth interception of the season. He has a pick in each of the last two games. He also forced a fumble.
*James McFarland had his team-best third forced fumble of the season with true freshman Chris Bradley recording his first career fumble recovery.
*Mike Tuaua had his third fumble recovery of the season, tying Dawson for the team lead. Tuaua also had a sack and forced fumble.
