TCU Announces Athletes of the Week

FORT WORTH, Texas - Tennis' Nick Chappell and Will Stein and equestrian's Kari Hancock have been named the TCU Muscle Milk Athletes of the
Week for their recent performances.
Chappell and Stein won the consolation doubles bracket at the 2014 Saint Francis Health System/ITA All-American Tennis Championships on Sunday in Tulsa, Okla. The duo was victorious in straights, 6-1, 6-3, over the No. 2 ranked doubles squad from Illinois. This also marks the third time the doubles team has beaten a top 5 ranked opponent.
The dynamic duo will advance to the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championship. Chappell and Stein have become the 19th doubles duo in school history and first since 2004 to advance to the national indoor championship. They improve to 15-6 in doubles action against nationally ranked opponents in their career.
Kari Hancock, a sophomore from Anchorage, Alaska, had a strong ride for her team in their dominating 12-3 victory over Delaware State. Hancock rode to a 90-85 decision in Equitation on the Flat. She also was awarded her second Most Outstanding Performer accolade of her young career.
Hancock and the Horned Frog equestrian team returns to action on Friday, Oct. 24, against Baylor in Waco, Texas.
