Presley Leads TCU on Final Day at Colonial

FORT WORTH, Texas - Andrew Presley led the No. 18 TCU men's golf team with a 1-under 69 at the final round of the Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational at Colonial Country Club on Tuesday.
The Horned Frogs closed the tournament with a ninth-place finish, going 10-over on Tuesday for the lowest of the three rounds for TCU. Oregon claimed the overall title, following by Washington and Texas.
Presley, a senior from Fort Worth, made the turn at 3-over before catching fire on the back nine with five birdies over the next seven holes en route to the tournament's second-lowest round of the day. Presley's round on Tuesday also tied for the second-lowest of the season when he posted back-to-back rounds of 68 and 69 at Pebble Beach.
Sophomore Giulio Castagnara and junior Paul Barjon followed with rounds of 3-over 73 to finish 27th and 29th, respectively. Castagnara's final two rounds of 72 and 73 were the second-lowest back-to-back rounds of his career.
The Frogs return to action on Oct. 27 at the Quail Valley Invitational in Vero Beach, Fla.
