Men's Golf Opens Play at Colonial

FORT WORTH, Texas - The 18th-ranked TCU men's golf team opened play at the first-ever Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational on Monday at Colonial Country Club.
The Horned Frogs rounded out the tournament's first 36 holes in ninth spot at 32-over, 11 strokes out of sixth position.
Oregon leads the tournament by two strokes at 8-over entering Tuesday's final round, followed by Washington (+10), Texas (+11), Oklahoma (+12) and Stanford (+14).
Sophomore Giulio Castagnara carded a 2-over 72 in Monday's second round to lead TCU at 8-over on the day, followed closely by Paul Barjon (+9), Chelso Barrett (+10), Andrew Presley (+10) and James Hart du Preez (+10).
The Frogs conclude action at the Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational with Tuesday's final round beginning at 8 a.m. CDT. The event is open to the public.
