NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin has been named the Walter Camp Football Foundation National Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Saturday's 82-27 win over Texas Tech.
Boykin set a TCU record with seven touchdown passes to go with a career-high 433 yards passing and 461 in total offense. It was Boykin's second straight game with career-best totals in passing and total offense.
The junior from Dallas completed 22-of-39 passes with no interceptions. The 433 yards passing ranked third for a single game in TCU history.
Boykin tied a TCU record with his fifth career 300-yard passing game. He also moved into third place on TCU's all-time list for touchdown passes (43).
Boykin is the sixth Horned Frog to earn Walter Camp Player of the Week honors and the third quarterback (Andy Dalton, Nov. 6, 2010; Casey Pachall, Nov. 13, 2011).
