
TCU to Compete at Quail Valley Intercollegiate

VERO BEACH, Fla. - The TCU men's golf team closes the fall portion of its season with the Quail Valley Intercollegiate beginning Monday at the Quail Valley Golf Club.
The Horned Frogs will play 36 holes on Monday and follow with the final 18 holes on Tuesday. Joining TCU on the par-72, 7,460-yard course is Arizona, Bowling Green, Houston Baptist, Jacksonville, McNeese State, Michigan State, North Florida, North Dakota State, Rice, Stephen F. Austin, Tennessee, Connecticut, Louisiana-Monroe and Kentucky.
Filling out the lineup card for TCU at Quail Valley will be Andrew Presley, Giulio Castagnara, James Hart du Preez, Chelso Barrett and Julien Brun.

Finished fourth overall in his TCU debut at the Carmel Cup with a 5-under 211.
Fired back-to-back rounds of 68 and 69 to close play in Pebble Beach.
Carded a final-round 69 at Nike Invitational at Colonial, marking second-lowest round of the day.
Played in 36 tournaments in three seasons at LSU with seven top-five finishes and two titles.
Named a Second-Team All-SEC and PING All-Southeast Region selection in 2012 and 2013.
Ranked as a top-20 recruit nationally prior to signing with LSU.
Giulio Castagnara
Has recorded back-to-back top-30 showings in Albuquerque and Fort Worth.
Played in 11 of the 12 tournaments as a freshman last season.
Posted first-career top-10 finish (8th) at Wofford Invitational in April.
Recorded career-best 54-hole total of 210, including second-career sub-70 round of 68.
Carded a then-season low 69 at Tucson National Invitational in March.
James Hart du Preez
Opened TCU career at Carmel Cup with back-to-back rounds of 2-under 70.
Comes to TCU after a stellar prep career in South Africa.
Begins his collegiate career ranked No. 451 in the R&A World Amateur Golf Rankings.
Tabbed as the top under-19 player in South Africa before an injury sidelined him for a portion of 2013.
Served as captain of the South African Junior team at the All-Africa Junior Team Golf Championship in 2013.
Chelso Barrett
Secured back-to-back top-15 finishes at season's first two events.
Earned Big 12 Championship All-Tournament Team honors for ninth-place finish as a freshman.
Ranked second on the squad as a freshman with 73.76 stroke average.
Carded second-lowest round of the season for the Frogs with a 66 in the opening round in Hawaii.
Carded 12 rounds of par or better for the season.
Competed in 10 USGA events prior to beginning his collegiate career, including a runner-up finish to PGA standout Jordan Spieth at the 2011 U.S. Junior Amateur.
Julien Brun
Holds the top three single-season scoring averages in school history (2012-13: 70.31; 2011-12: 70.51; 2013-14: 70.63).
Posted three tournament titles last season to increase his school record to nine career victories.
Closed the 2013-14 season with back-to-back titles at the Big 12 Championship and NCAA San Antonio Regional.
Competed at the PGA Tour's Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial Country Club last May.
Holds a program record with three first-team All-America selections.
