Finnegan Shines In Postseason Debut

Finnegan, who last pitched in a TCU uniform against Virginia on June 17 in the College World Series, tossed 2 1/3 innings for the Royals. He came on in the 10th inning and retired seven of the nine batters he faced. Along the way he collected three strikeouts.
The 17th-overall draft pick by the Kansas City Royals this past June. He started five games as part of 13 appearances in the minors before being called up to the majors on Sept. 1. With the big league club, Finnegan made seven appearances over the final month of the season and helped the Royals clinch their first postseason berth in 29 years. Finnegan made his MLB Debut on Sept. 6 in Yankee Stadium with two perfect innings of relief. He had 10 strikeouts in seven innings of work.
