SAAC LEADERSHIP
Our Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) is comprised of representatives from each of our 20 sports. They provide us insight from the student-athlete perspective and experience. The SAAC also offers input on NCAA and TCU rules, regulations and policies that affect student-athletes' lives on every NCAA member institution campus. Kelly Johnson from our soccer program is this year's SAAC president with equestrian's Taylor Gillette serving as vice president. Our SAAC group helps promote a positive student-athlete image on and off campus through community service projects and wellness programming. Please see the following link for a complete list of our SAAC representatives: Click Here,

HALL OF FAMER
Congratulations to men's basketball coach Trent Johnson on his selection to the University of Nevada Athletics Hall of Fame. He will be formally inducted on Sept. 20. During his five seasons as head coach (1999-04), Coach Johnson started Nevada's string of nine consecutive winning seasons and eight straight postseason appearances. He guided the Wolfpack to its first Western Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament championships in 2003-04 as well as its first appearance in the NCAA Sweet 16.
BIG 12 CORNER
Through its first 17 years, the Big 12 has claimed a team national championship in 16 of the sports it sponsors.

SPANNING THE GLOBE
In this week's edition of the Horned Frogs Nation showing their pride from all points worldwide, we see John Davis with Mr. and Mrs. Brad Buky in Bellagio, Italy, on Lake Como. John ran into Brad and his wife while both were wearing their TCU hats. If you have some great images to share, please send them my way (delconte@tcu.edu).
NAME THE MOVIE QUOTE
Last Week's Answer: Chevy Chase, in his classic role as Fletch, pulled rank and said he was with the mattress police when he uttered the iconic line, "There are no tags on these mattresses."
This Week's Quote: "I ain't gonna have no money to buy my son the G.I. Joe with the kung-fu grip!" Make sure to check back next week for the answer.
COMPLIANCE CORNER
After a prospective student-athlete signs a National Letter of Intent or a financial aid agreement with TCU, the permissible forms and frequency of contact with that prospect greatly increases. Before a prospect signs with TCU, most sports are limited to one phone call per week and no text messages. The calendar day after signing an NLI, TCU staff members are permitted to make unlimited phone calls and text messages. The deregulation of recruiting activities after signing also includes off campus contacts. Prior to signing, all sports are limited to a certain number of off campus contacts and evaluations with prospects. Starting the calendar day after a prospect signs with TCU, permissible recruiting coaches may have unlimited off campus contacts and evaluations.
